Helen C. Burnam, 66, of Marianna died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Burnam was a lifelong resident of this area and lived most of her life in Jackson County where she was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Jack H. Burnam; two daughters, Jill Melvin and husband, Chris of Dothan, AL., Amanda Hamilton and husband, Jason of Marianna; four grandchildren, Brittany and Nicholas Melvin, Aaron and Sam Kight Hamilton; three sisters, Geneva McDonald of Hampton, Ga., Betty Jean Simmons and Hazel Fountain both of Douglas, GA; Two brothers, Orville Carver and Odis Carver both of Douglas, GA. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2008 at Maddox Chapel with Revs. Eva Howell & Shelton Kindig officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 25 at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel. Flowers will be accepted or memorials made to Covenant Hospice, 4440 Lafayette Street, Ste.
