Hazel Irene Ray

Hazel Irene Ray, 79, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at Jackson Hospital in Marianna. A native of Clinton, SC, Mrs. Ray had resided in Jackson County for the past 40 years, was a member of the Damascus Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert L. Ray; her parents Foster Dewitt and Lillian Nalley Knight. Survivors include one son, Tim McJunkin and wife Janet of Lovedale; two daughters, Kathy Somerville and husband Dennis of Clemson, SC and Nancy Hudson of Jasper, AL.; four brothers; seven sisters; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1 pm Friday, December 3, 2010 at Lovedale Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Canada officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at Maddox Chapel."
