Hazel Marie Ward Hamilton, 83, of Greenwood, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020.
Born February 22, 1937, in Dunlow, WV, she was a daughter of the late Theodore Roosevelt and Laura Bell Copley Ward. Mrs. Hamilton was a homemaker that loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and quilting.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Herbert Ward and her sister, Julie Booth.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Curtis Hamilton; six children, Deborah Willis, of Panama City, Leonard Lunsford, of Bradenton, Doug (Sherri) Lunsford, of Greenwood, Herbert (Bertha) Lunsford, of Greenwood, Andrew (Tammy) Lunsford, of Cottondale, Kim (Jason) Etheridge, of Webb, AL; two stepchildren, Bill (Sandra) Hamilton, of Sparta, WI, Lisa Hamilton, of Smartsville, CA; her sister Opal Scott, of Fort Gay, WV; brother, Theodore Roosevelt (Geneva) Ward II, of Fort Gay, WV; 19 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 10 AM at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with David Baldwin officiating. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
