James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Hazel Fay Conroy, 78, of Fountain, Florida passed away Tuesday August 27, 2013 at her residence. A native of Alabama, Fay Conroy had resided in Calhoun County for the past 33 years where she managed various convenience stores throughout Jackson County. She retired at the age of 71 from Sylvia's Convenience store in Bay County. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fountain, Florida. She was preceded in death by her son John Timothy Smith, two brothers James Edward and Phileon Lawley and her parents John and Kathleen Lawley. Survivors include one brother, John Lawley Jr. and wife of Chattanooga, Tennessee, one son Michael Smith and wife of West Virginia, two daughters, Lanita Valcke of Fountain, Florida and Deneen Keen of Steel City, Florida, 11 Grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a host of Nieces and Nephews. Service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, September 1, 2013 at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel in Marianna, Florida with Pastor Roger Hagan officiating. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until service time.
