He was a native of Columbus, Ohio, served in the U S Navy for three years during WWll. He was a truck driver with Bowman for many years most recently working at Florida State Hospital as a direct care giver. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Marianna. Survivors include his son, Daniel Mark Rathburn of Graceville, daughter, Becky McDaniel and husband, Dennis of Sneads; two grandchildren, Hailey and Garrett McDaniel. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 15, at First United Methodist Church in Marianna with Dr. Bob McKibben officiating. Full military graveside honors will be given by Sneads American Legion Post 241 at Salem Wesleyan Cemetery near Sneads with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
