James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Gordon E. Braswell Sr. 84 passed from this life to a life in Heaven on Saturday October 13, 2012. He was a resident of The Terrace of Fleming Island, Orange Park, Fl. for the last 6 Months. He was born in Two Egg, Fl. on March 10,1928. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Suzie and Richard Braswell; his brothers, Charlie and TC Braswell; a sister, Inez Driver Hawthorn. He is survived by his devoted wife, Carolyn W. Braswell; sons, Gordon E. Braswell Jr.(Sherry), Gregory E. Braswell and Wm Scott Parker Sr. (Roxanne); daughters, Gwendolyn E. Crawford (Tom) and Gloria E. Johns (Rick); two sisters, Aline Baxley and Betty Jo Sergeant (Jack); 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren which he loved so much and like to spend time with them, especially on the farm, also many nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be at 2 p.m. CST., Saturday, October 20, at Welcome Assembly of God with Revs. Charles Jackson, Jack Howell and Dr. Thomas Batts officiating. Interment will follow in church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. Visitation will be Sat. Oct. 20, 2012 from 1 to 2 p.m. CST. at Welcome Assembly of God, 6784 Messer Rd. Grand Ridge, FL.
