Glenda Gaye Shell, 70, of Marianna died Saturday, May 26, 2007 at her home. A native of Hazard County Ky., Mrs. Shell had resided in Marianna for the past 32 years, she was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and was a former real estate agent, owner / operator. She was preceded in death by her parents, Atchison and Octavia Little Tackett; two sisters, June Sowder and Faye Caudill. Survivors include, three sons, Christopher Dean Stokes and wife Janet L. of Round Lake, Denver Lee Delph and wife Felicia Farris of Greenwood and Skip Delph and wife Spring of Marianna; one daughter, Venessa Bender and husband Fred of Nashville, Tenn.; one sister Christie Caudill of Ft. Walton Beach; ten grandchildren, Elizabeth Stokes, Christopher Stokes, Glenda Stokes, Christy Delph, Dylan Lee Delph, Amanda Dickerson, Jeremiah Bender, Jonah Bender, Judah Bender and Eric Deloach; three great grandchildren, Kaitlin Kent, Hunter Kent. Special friends, Jennifer Marcum of Birmingham, Al., Shelly Walker of Gainsville, and Jerome Basford, Ottie Karl, Lynn and Frank Baker of Marianna and many others. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 2 pm, Tuesday,May 29, 2007 at St. Anne's Catholic Church with Fr. Sean Knox officiating and Rev. Greg Roberts speaking. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 pm Monday, May 28, 2007 at Maddox Chapel.
