Glenda A. Henley, age 84 of Campbellton, Florida died Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at her residence. She was born to Joseph and Jewel Holley on November 22, 1938 in Cottondale, FL.
Glenda was a native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, FL. She was a homemaker and had a special gift of playing the piano. She loved and enjoyed cooking for others. Her specialty was baking her signature pound cake. Glenda was a member of Berean Baptist Church in Chipley for more than 40 years. She loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Henley; one daughter, Sara Hancock; three grandchildren: Brian Hancock, Anna Lynn Hancock, Emmalee Rose Hancock; her parents, Joseph Moses Holley and Jewel Boan Holley; and one sister, Jolene Taylor.
Glenda is survived by one son, William Walter Henley (Michelle) of Campbellton; two daughters, Belinda West (David) of Campbellton and Ebby Summer (Wayne) of Bristol; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Glenda has a number of kids she claimed as her adopted grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, January 6, 2023 at Berean Baptist Church in Chipley, FL with Rev. Paul Hill officiating and James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. Interment will follow at Piney Grove Baptist Cemetery in Cottondale with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
