James Sikes Funeral HomeMaddox Chapel Gladys Eugene Strickland of Marianna died Friday, April 25, 2014 at Jackson Hospital, she was 87.Gladys was a native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, she retired from Citizens Bank after serving many years as a bank teller. Gladys was a former Pink Lady at Jackson Hospital, and a lifetime member of Trinity Baptist Church in Marianna.She was preceded in death by her husband, William Douglas "Strick" Stickland.Survivors include two sons, Darrell Strickland (Debbie) of Marianna, Ron Strickland (Lisa) of Crawfordville; two daughters, Brenda Benton (Chuck) of Ft. Walton Beach, Kathy Vice of Marianna; brother, Billy Ray Elmore of Lilburn, GA.; sister, Sybil Jones of Jackson, AL.; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2014 at James Sikes Maddox Chapel with Roland Rabon officiating. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at James Sikes Maddox Chapel.
