Geraldine Stephens

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Geraldine Stephens, 87, went home to be with the Lord on January 29, 2015 at Jackson Hospital. She was surrounded be her loving family, friends and beloved Pastors, The Rev. Henry Fullington and Rev. John Smith. Mrs. Stephens was born in Bascom, Florida to Charles and Mary Vaughan. She spent her life as a homemaker and enjoyed her beautiful flowers and shrubs. She and her husband Earl were avid gardeners. She loved her Church family and was an active member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Bascom Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Mary Vaughan, two sons Kenneth Bell and Elzie B Bell (Buddy), her brothers Donald Vaughan and Byron Vaughan. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Earl Stephens and Dawn Glover daughter and husband Rick. grandchildren Andy Bell and wife Holley of Pendergrass, Ga, Justin Glover and wife Erin of Orange California, Dustin Pettis of Malone, Fl, Hilary Glover of Dothan, Al, Sisters Mary Nell Thompson of Montgomery, Al, Joyce Gilreath of Pensacola, Fl, and great grandchildren Nicholas and Austin Bell of Pendergrass, Ga. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Monday, February 2, 2015 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Bascom, FL, with Revs. Henry Fullington and John Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel of Marianna directing. The family will receive friends at 12 noon until funeral time in the church.
