George W. Johnson

George W. Johnson, 75, of Sneads died Monday, March 22, 2009 at his home. A native of Springhill, AL., Mr. Johnson had resided in Sneads since 1972, he was retired from the U.S. Air Force and a former member of the Sneads American Legion Post 241 Honor Guard team. He was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm and Annie Mae Willis Johnson. Survivors include his wife, Theoradora Johnson;two sons, Robert Hershal Johnson and wife Donna of Fountain, Malcolm Oren Johnson of Sneads; three daughters, Elizabeth Clark of Fountain, Mary Gail Welch and husband Steven of Key West, Brenda Sue Hadden and husband Shawn of Ft. Walton Beach; one brother, Robert Johnson and wife Gwen of Grand Ridge; one sister, Ruby Geanell Roberts and husband Earl of Plains, GA.; eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Service of Remembrance will 2 pm Friday, March 27, 2009 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Sneads Chapel. Military honors will be presented by the Sneads American Legion Post 241. "
