She was born in Malone and was a lifelong resident of Jackson County where she was a homemaker and a member of Collins Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Yon. Survivors include two sons, Gary Yon and fiance' Melinda, Paul Yon and wife, Sharon all of Cottonwood, AL.; one daughter, Loretta Hinson of Malone; four grandchildren, Joshua Yon, Krystal Hinson, Marissa Yon, D J Crooms and wife, Sophie; three great-grandchildren, Bryleigh Grace Spurlock, Daveni Crooms, Zoei Crooms; one brother, Earl Anderson of Malone, two sisters-in-law, Jean Anderson of Malone, Gladys Casey of Marianna; close friends, Dorothy Mathis, Barbara Beck, Racheal Baxter, Helen Deese. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Collins Chapel Baptist Church in Malone with Rev. James Bradley officiating.
