Gayle Ed Duce

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Mr. Gayle "Ed" Duce, 73, of Marianna, died Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Beaches Baptist Hospital in Jacksonville. Ed was a native of Two Egg, lived most of his life in Jacksonville Beach Fl. where he retired from the Jacksonville Beach Police Department. After moving to Marianna he worked with the Jackson County Sheriffs Department where he retired after several years of service. Ed was a very proud Law Enforcement Officer. He was preceded in death by one brother, Donnie Duce in 2014; his parents, Ephadus Edward and Mary Emma Horne Duce. He is survived by his wife, Patsey Ryals Duce; sons, Steve Duce and wife, Danielle of Jacksonville; John Spitver and wife, Paula of Hancefield, Al.; daughters, Kim Sawyer and husband, Alan of Marianna, Andrea Muth, of Orange Park, Fl; sisters, Ruth King and Elsie Moline, both of Marianna; sister-in-law, Patricia Duce, of Chipley; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Funeral service will be at 5:30 p.m. followed by a viewing from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. Interment will be in New Hope Free Will Baptist Cemetery at a later date with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel in charge of arrangements.
