James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Gabriel Preston Bledsoe, 13, of Marianna went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 29, 2015 at his home in Marianna surrounded by his family. Gabriel was born on October 26, 2001 at Jackson Hospital. He was a True Superhero, and he is now receiving a hero's reward. He was preceded in death by his father, Preston Bledsoe II, and his paternal Grandmother, Shirley Faye Bledsoe. He is survived by his parents, Miranda and James Sims of Marianna; two sisters, Starla Bledsoe of Marianna and Heavenly Bledsoe of Mississippi; three brothers, Blake Sims of Marianna, Dakota of Mississippi, and Marshall of Louisiana; Grandparents, Jimmy and Eldridge Sims of Marianna, Di Ann Harris of Altha, James A. and Rhonda Tipton of Bristol, Preston Bledsoe Sr. of Kentucky; one aunt, Kandyce Tipton of Altha; three uncles, Dewayne and Billie Jo Sims of Marianna, Jason Tipton of Altha, Chase and Lindsey Tipton, James E. Tipton of Bristol. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2015 at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel in Marianna. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Blountstown Church of God with Pastor Philip Meeks officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Memorial Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel of Marianna directing. The family will receive friends following the services on Saturday in the church fellowship hall.
