Frances Robinson Tipton, 92, of Marianna passed away Friday, July 8, 2016 at Marianna Health and Rehab.
Frances was born June 24, 1924 to Will and Gertie Robinson. She was a founding member of the Marianna Church of God and her greatest joy came when she was serving the Lord, spending time working in her church or spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, four sisters, two grandsons, her husband, Clinton L. Tipton and a son, Harold F. Tipton. Frances is survived by three sons, Lewis Tipton and wife, Gail, Roy Tipton and wife, Judy, Jimmy Tipton and wife, Christy; ten grandchildren, Danny Tipton and wife, Trina, Trent Tipton and wife, Donna, Kim Hagan and husband, Jeff, Dawn Benton and husband, Tim, Angel Self and husband, Jaime, April Fouraker, Lorie Tipton, Shane Tipton and wife, Jennifer, Patrick Tipton, Jonathan Tipton and wife, Katie; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Jane Tipton and a sister, Agnes Harrison.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the Marianna Church of God with Rev. John Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends from 6p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
