Frances Evelyn Land

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Frances Land, 88, passed away July 7, 2012, in Tallahassee, after a long and courageous battle with Alzhemers. She was born and raised in Midland City, Alabama, but lived most of her life in Marianna. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was preceded in death by her husband, Haywood Land; her parents; Three sisters, Velma Dasinger, Myrtle Harden and Mary Horne; Two brothers, James Dasinger and Leamon Dasinger; and a very special granddaughter, Stephanie Land. Mrs. Land is survived by four sons, John Land, Steve Land and Tim Land all of Marianna, and Joe Land of Opp, AL.; Two daughters, Kathy Rush and Charlene Prater both of Tallahassee; six precious grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She loved her family and children, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. (Central Time) Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
