Florrie Lee Herring

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Florrie Lee Herring, 90, of Grand Ridge died Thursday, June 28, 2012 at her residence. She was a native of Early County Georgia, lived most of her life in Jackson County, retired from Florida State Hospital as a Psychiatric Aide. She was a member of Sneads Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Pauline Herring and Bailey Benton; her daughter, Joann Danley. Survivors are one son, Billy Herring and wife, Louise of Grand Ridge; two grandchildren, Kimberly Mahmood of Blountstown and Christopher Herring of Grand Ridge; six great grandchildren; five brothers, Floyd, Arthur, Jack, Clifford and William Murkerson; one sister, Lena Bush. Funeral service will be Sunday, July 1, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Sneads Assembly of God Church with Pastor Juno Douglas officiating. Burial will follow in Cypress Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. Family will receive friends Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
