Florence Chambliss Green

Florence Chambliss Green, 66 of Graceville passed away Friday, April 24 at the home of her daughter following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, April 27, 2009 at New Hope Assembly of God Church with Rev. Marrell Turvin and Rev. Johnny Shepard officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Ms. Florence, a native and life long resident of Jackson County, was born November 4, 1942 to the late Zed Melvin and Mattie Lee Fears Chambliss. A retired seamstress with Vanity Fair Mills, Ms. Florence worked as a caregiver for the past several years. She is preceded in by her parents, two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her beloved children David Green of Dothan, Kenneth Green, Kimberly Green Cobb both of Graceville, Robert Green of USAF, Hawaii; five brothers, two sisters, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews
