James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel 4278 Lafayette Street Marianna, Florida 32446 850-482-2332 Fillmore A. McMillan, Jr., age 82, of Grand Ridge, Florida died Sunday, July 4, 2010 in Marianna. He was a native of Lakeland, his family moved to Malone when he was young. Fill served in the U S Navy for three years and was an Atomic Veteran, he also served two years in the U S Army. Fill graduated from The University of Florida with a masters degree, he was a member of Pi Kappa Phi honorary fraternity, military student of the year in 1951-1952, county agent in Okaloosa County, taught agriculture in Okaloosa and Suwanne Counties. Fill was a long time member of Sneads First United Methodist Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir and playing guitar, also, he enjoyed traveling singing in nursing homes and other churches. He is survived by his wife, Florida Neel McMillan; six children, F. A. McMillan, III, Clay McMillan, Vangie Murrah, Matt McMillan all of Live Oak, Andy Anderson of Clearwater, Grady Ruth Stewart of Maitland; one brother, Dougald McMillan of the Villages, three sisters, Jean Rivers of Tallahassee, Betty Sessions of Daytona Beach, Carol Anderson of The Villages; 14 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. CST, Thursday, July 8, 2010 at First United Methodist Church in Sneads, Fl with Rev. Rusty Burleson officiating. Burial will follow in Cohassett Farms Cemetery near Grand Ridge with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
