Everett Edward "Ed" Ellis

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Everett Edward "Ed" Ellis, 76, of Marianna died Saturday, January 31, 2015 at River Valley Nursing in Blountstown. He was Born in Cedar Springs, Ga. October 12, 1938 to Jeff and Pearl Locke Ellis. Mr. Ellis had resided in Jackson County for the past 20 years and was President of Flowers Bakery. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Bennett Ellis of Marianna; four sons, DeWayne Ellis and wife, Delene of Marianna, Edwin Ellis of CO, Edmond Ellis of Panama City and Thomas Montgomery of Dallas, TX; two daughters, Diane McRoberts and husband Paul of Silver Springs, MD, Rebecca Andrews of Tallahassee; one brother, Earl Ellis and wife Marlene of Altha; two sisters, Margaret Edenfield of lake City and Jewel Benefield of Grand Ridge; four grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Charles D. Kleiser and Rev. Dallas Ellis officiating. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. Grandsons and Nephews will serve as Pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until funeral time Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Providence Baptist Church. If desired donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital or your favorite charity.
