Evelyn Perkins

Evelyn Perkins, 77, of Bascom died Saturday, October 18, 2008 in Marianna. A native and life long resident of Jackson County, Mrs. Perkins was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, a homemaker and had a love for flowers and music. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas G. Perkins; a son, Robert Wayne Perkins; her parents, Thomas L. and Creamer Culverhouse Atwell; one brother, Tom Atwell; three sisters, Doris Watford, Ellen Bass and Mary Lou Shelton. Survivors include her son, Bobby Perkins and wife Ellen Resch of Sneads; her daughter, Vickie Maloney and husband Bill of Bascom; one brother, James Atwell and wife Gloria of Marianna; four sisters, Mamie Harper, Linda Griffin and husband Gus all of Port St. Joe, Helen Hall and Betty Cross both of Bascom; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11 am Monday, October 20, 2008 at Maddox Chapel with Rev. Eric Durham officiating, interment will follow at Lovedale Baptist Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm Sunday, October 19, 2008 at Maddox Chapel."
