Mrs. Evelyn M. Hill Baggett, 72 of Altha died Monday, July 26, 2010, at Calhoun Liberty Hospital in Blountstown, Florida. Mrs. Baggett was born on February 27, 1938 in Marianna, Florida and had resided in Altha with her family for the last 52 years. She was a dedicated wife to her husband and homemaker to her family. Together they helped run Baggett Brothers Farm in Altha. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Floria Lewis Hill, a brother J.C. "Buck" Hill of Marianna and a special brother-in-law Billy B. Baggett of Altha. Survivors include a devoted husband and helpmate of 52 years, L. N. "Hub" Baggett of Altha, one daughter Brenda Baggett of Altha, three sons, Richard Baggett and his wife Starla of Marianna, Ferlon Baggett and his wife Robbin of Clarksville, and Russell Baggett of Altha; two sisters, Edna Brock of Marianna and Ada Mae Baggett of Altha; two brothers, Donald Hill of Cottondale, and Carlos Hill and his wife Gladys of Marianna. Grandchildren, Dustin Stevens of Altha, Whitney Stevens of Grand Ridge, Breanna Walker of Altha, Shayn and Cherie Baggett of Marianna, Everett Baggett and his wife Danielle of Marianna, Ashton Baggett, Justin and Joshua Taylor of Clarksville; Great Grandson Brody Baggett of Marianna and Great Granddaughter Avery Carmichael of Grand Ridge and a special nephew Mike Baggett, his wife Robin and their son Hunter of Altha and special niece Melanie Baggett and John Hill of Marianna; as well as several other in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The funeral service for Mrs. Baggett will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 30, 2010, at the Altha Church of God, with Rev. Allan Nichols and the Rev. Carlton Baggett officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery in Altha with James & Sikes Funeral Home-Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends at the Altha Church of God from 6-8 pm, Thursday, July 29, 2010. "
