Lois Esther Porter Booth passed from this world on January 30, 2016, at the Marianna Health and Rehabilitation Center in Marianna, Florida.
A life long resident of Marianna, Esther was the youngest of nine children born to John Reddin Porter and Lurena Elizabeth Rawls Porter.
Esther loved to sing and play the piano, was an accomplished seamstress, and enjoyed cooking for friends and family. She attended First Assembly of God Church of Marianna and faithfully served God and others throughout her lifetime. Esther will be remembered by many for her warm smile and helpful nature, particularly as she worked for decades in various Marianna business, including Ivy's Food Store, TG&Y, and Walmart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, (Lillian, Alex, Lottie, Alma, Ruth, Johnnie, Lurene and Calvin); two of her three children, Louise Varnum and Eddie Booth; her husbands, Hayes Lipford and Morgan Booth.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Brogdon; her sons, Gene and Randy; a granddaughter, Dena Varnum Morgan and her daughters, Ashton and Kendall; numerous nieces and nephews, who were beneficiaries of her talents and generosity.
A Service of Remembrance will be at 2 pm Thursday, February 4, 2016 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Pastor Stephen Potter officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm until funeral time at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
Memorization will be by cremation with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
