Emmie Ruth Powell, 77, of Dellwood died Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Jackson Hospital in Marianna. She was a native of Barbour County, Alabama, lived in Jackson County since 1989 where she was a homemaker and a member of Welcome Assembly of God Church. Preceded in death by her son, Gerald Corlee. Survivors include her husband, Lonzo Powell of Dellwood; daughters, Norma Morrison of Dawson, Ga., Helen Roberts of Michigan; six grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2008 at Welcome Assembly of God Church with Dr. Thomas Batts officiating. Burial will follow in Welcome Church Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
