Emerson Hubbard "Hub" Bamberg

April 25, 1927 — February 3, 2014

Emerson Hubbard "Hub" Bamberg, 86, of Grand Ridge died Monday, February 3, 2014 at Jackson Hospital. A native and life long resident of Jackson County, Mr. Bamberg was a US Army veteran, He was a retired Chef from Florida State Hospital and a member of Grand Ridge Baptist Church. He was an avid coon hunter, loved to fish and a gifted gardener. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Edward and Bessie Lee Jeter Bamberg. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lillian Dalton Bamberg; two sons, Wayne H. Bamberg and wife Barbara, Paul E. Bamberg all of Grand Ridge; eight grand children and ten great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Grand Ridge Baptist Church with Bro. David Stewart, Rev. Rolan Bamberg and Rev.. C. D. Harn officiating. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Maddox Chapel.
