Elmira Mallie Lipford

Elmira Mallie Lipford, age 88, of Marianna, Florida, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024, at her residence. She was born October 27, 1936, in Chipley, Florida to Roy Lee Mills and Vera Mae Noblin Mills. She was married to Mr. William Lipford in 1955. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, and two sisters. 

She is survived by her daughters, Donna Jo Loyed (Arnold) and Dottie Everett (Cameron); one sister, Lorene Lipford; four grandchildren: Kimberly Schwendeman (Aaron), Jennifer White (Matt), Jessica Lynn Hill (Jeremy), Justin Bradley Loyed (Jennie), nine great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

 Elmira loved to fish and work in the yards. She also enjoyed working with her crafts and loved sewing. She worked for Vanity Fair and Russell for many years before her retirement. After retirement, she continued to bless others with her talents as she did alterations for friends and family.

Her family was the center of her world. Elmira loved to play with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved her animals and cherished their company. 

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 5, 2024, at New Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Woodruff officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
