Elmer G. Lauen

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Elmer G. Lauen, 96, Lt. Col. retired, U. S. Air Force of Marianna died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. A native of Port Arthur, TX., Mr. Lauen had resided in Marianna for the past 41 years and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Nancy Coats Lauen. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Mary Ceravolo Lauen of Marianna; one son, Rev. David Lauen and wife, Christine of Bonifay; two daughters, M. Gail Schinman and husband, Gary Schinman, and Barbara G. Lauen, Lt. Col. (RET.) all of Marianna; one brother, James Eugene Lauen of Marianna; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2011 at Eastside Baptist Church with Rev. David Lauen, Rev. John Rollyson and Dr. Steve Canada officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel will direct. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
