Elizabeth R. Stephens

Elizabeth Ruhlman Stephens, 87, of Altha, died Sunday June 3, 2012 at Jackson Hospital. She was a native of Greenville, PA., lived most of her life in Altha. Ms. Stephens was a member of Fellowship Alliance Church. She loved to crochet, always making sure everyone at her church had a gift for Mother's day, Father's Day and Christmas. Preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Mable Bell Ruhlman; one brother, Robert P. Ruhlman; one sister, Iva S. Boyd. Survivors include one son, Sam Stephens and wife, Georganne of Altha; one brother, David K. Ruhlman of Franklin, PA; one grandson, Thomas J. McCroan. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 7, 2012 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Rev. Donnie Hussey officiating. Burial will follow in New Shiloh Cemetery near Altha with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 7-8 p.m. at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
