Edwin E. Peacock

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Edwin Eugene Peacock (Buddy) Edwin Eugene Peacock, 70, of Westville, FL passed away August 10th, 2014, at Covenant Hospice in Panama City, FL. Buddy was born on June 4th, 1944 in Cottondale, FL, having graduated from Cottondale High School in 1962. He played football for the Cottondale Hornets and was voted most talkative in his senior class favorites. Upon completing high school he accepted a job with Fl DOT, until accepting a job with the US Forestry Service moving to Tallahassee in 1965 where he lived for the next 40 years., retiring with the US Forestry Service in Dec. 1998 as an Engineer. His passion was restoring antique cars, which won him numerious 1st place trophies at antique car shows. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie Hicks Peacock & Jakie Peacock of Cottondale; his nephew, Jack Barwick, Jr. of Marianna. He is survived by his sisters, Bobbie McCoy Harris, Shirley P. Barwick (Jack), Kathy P. Roberts (Lou), all of Marianna; Sadie P. Dixon of Tallahassee; Special thanks to his care givers and extended families, Kerwin & Kelly Johnson and children all of Bonifay, John & Sue Kinasczuk of Westville. Services will be Wednesday, August 13th at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel at 3:00 PM CST. Burial will follow in the Cottondale Baptist Cemetery (Hwy 231 N) with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 12th at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel, 4278 Lafayette Street, Marianna from 5:00 PM CST to 7:00 PM CST.
