Edwin "Edd" Glenn Hill

Edwin G. "Edd" Hill, 81, of Grand Ridge died Friday, August 8, 2008 in Tallahassee. A native and life long resident of Jackson County, Mr. Hill was retired after 38 years as a Manager/Agent with Gulf Life and American General Life Insurance Company, hew was a long time member of the Optimist Club of Marianna, a supporter of the FSU and Chipola Boosters, a member of the Gulf Life Old Timers Association and a member of Providence Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Hill and two sisters, Lorene Hill Holley and Leona Hill. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Blount Hill; a sister, Nancy Branch both of Grand Ridge; three brothers, Charles Hill of Grand Ridge, Guliford Hill of Quincy and Ralph Hill of Jacksonville; special cousins, James Thomas and Virginia Blount of Grand Ridge. Funeral service will be 3 pm, Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Dallas Ellis officiating, interment will follow at Dykes Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Providence Baptist Church in Grand Ridge. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice of Tallahassee. "
