Although born in Miami, FL, "Ed" resided in Jackson County most of his life. He retired from the State of Florida with 26 years of service at Sunland. He attended Greenwood Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse W. Land; his mother, Bernice Land Oakes and his brother, Earl. Survivors include his wife, of 50 years Annette; a son, E J "Buddy" Caddell (Jill); daughter, Linda Wilds; sister-n-law, Helen Grice; niece, Brenda Larrabee (Toby); nephews, Craig Grice (Donna), Roger Grice (Jenny); Three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, numerous great nieces and nephews; Special Family, Chris Roy (Beka), Johnny Howard (Elaine) and Stan Stanley (Helen) Memorial services will be at 11 am Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Greenwood Baptist Church with Pastor Fred Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Special thanks to Jackson Hospital & Marianna Health & Rehab Center, Physicians and staff for their care.
