Edna L. Matthews

Edna L. Matthews, 73, of Two Egg died Friday, June 15, 2007 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Two Egg. From the age of 16, Ms. Matthews and her late husband, Robert co-operated their family farm for many years. She also worked with the Jackson County School System as a bus driver for 12 years, later worked at Florida State Hospital for a number of years. Ms. Matthews was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Marianna. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Matthews in 2003. Survivors include her son, Nicholas and his wife, Regena Hughes Matthews; one grandson, Justen Matthews and one granddaughter, Danita Matthews; one brother, Cecil Evans of New Port Richey; two sisters, Hettie Rhodes of Atlanta, Inez Faulk of Pace. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 18, at 3 p.m. at The Kingdom Hall with Elder Michael Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Sunday at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel. The family wishes to thank her care givers, Carol Hagen, Angela Calloway & Gayle Hall for love and dedication. Also special thanks to Covenant Hospice and National Home Health Care for their services.
