Char-ol Douglas Hughes, “Doug”, age 72, of Greenwood, FL, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021.
He was active in the community and always wanted to help those in need. Doug worked on various machinery, lawnmowers, and small engines in a shop on the back of his property.
He was preceded by his parents, James and Irnee Hughes; and a brother, James Everett Hughes.
Doug is survived by his loving companion, Margaret Warren, of Greenwood, FL; brother, Donald (Pat) Hughes, of Cumming, GA; sons, Michael (Amy) Hughes of Lawrenceville, GA, and James (Kathleen) Hughes of Spring Hill, FL; 11 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorialization will be by cremation. There are no services planned at this time. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel in charge of arrangements.
