Dorsey Dale Arnold, 84, recently of Marianna, Florida died Friday, March 7, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Arnold was born and raised in Slocomb, Alabama. He served in the Navy at the end of Worl War II on the USS Virgo. He resided and owned a garage and body shop business in Ozark, Alabama for many years. He was an avid garderner, an expert body repair technician and manager. He was very active in the Baptist Church and served as deacon at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark,Alabama and Mandarin Baptist in Jacksonville, Florida.
He is preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Sue Arnold; two children, Teresa Arnold Moore of Ozark, Alabama, Zack Arnold and his wife Juanita of Marianna Florida; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 4 pm, Friday, March 14, 2014 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, 1971 Deese Road, Ozark, AL. with the Rev. Jim Hill officating with James Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
Interment will be Union Baptist Cemetery in Slocomb, AL.
The family will receive friends from 3 pm until funeral time Friday at Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
