Dorothy M. Lipford

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Dorothy M. Lipford, 68, of Cottondale, died Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Jackson County. Mrs. Lipford retired from Jim's Steak House where she served as a hostess for several years. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband, William Angus Lipford, Sr.; one son, William Angus "Bill" Lipford, Jr. and wife, Loretta; one daughter, Sandra Hutto all of Alord; three sisters, Bunnie Brock of Alford, Carolyn Henderson of Crestview, Truty Swails of Eufaula, AL.; six grandchildren, Chelsea and Sage Hutto, Jenae Lipford, Sean, Nick and Philip Byrd; two great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at New Salem Baptist Church with Revs. James Barwick and Donnie Peacock officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church.
