Dorothy Louise Hart Hastings

Dorothy Louise Hart Hastings, 80, of Malone died Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Marianna Health and Rehab. Dorothy was a native and lifelong resident of Jackson County where she worked many years as a officer at Farmers Bank of Malone. Dorothy enjoyed springtime flowers, fishing, traveling, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her church family at Malone First Baptist Church where she was a long time member. Survivors include two daughters, Janet McJunkin and husband, Tim of Two Egg, Cathy Jones and husband, Tommy of Tallahassee; one brother, James Hart and wife, Shirley of Pace; sisters, Mary Alice Hewett of Ft. Polk, LA., Elizabeth Pender of Mary Ester, Vera Mae Basford and husband, Arthur of Two Egg; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be at 2 pm Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Malone First Baptist Church with Rev. Jackie Register and Dr. Steve Canada officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
