James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel 4278 Lafayette Street Marianna, Florida 32446 850.482.2332 Dorothy (Dot) Anne Dominey Ellzey age 84, passed away August 27, at the home of her son Robert H. Ellzey Jr, in Tallahassee, Fl. Dot was born November 7, 1926 in Dothan Al, the only child of James Lee Dominey and Cleo Nordan Dominey. Within a few years the Domineys moved to Malone, Fl where Dot entered first grade and graduated Malone High School in 1944. Dot also attended Auburn Universityfor 2 years. She met and married her husband of 33 years, Robert H. Ellzey Sr. in St. Augustine Fl. They moved to Port St. Joe, Fl in January of 1954 where Bob was employed by the Apalachicola Northern Rail Road. At the time of his death in March 1981 he was Superintendent of the Rail Road. In August of 1981 Dot became House Director of Phi Mu Sorority at FSU, until her retirement in 1999. Dot was initiatedas a Honorary member of Phi Mu Alpha Epsilon chapter in 1994. Dot is survived by two sons; Robert H. Ellzey Jr. of Tallahassee Fl, and James Lee Ellzey and wife Cyndi of Inverness, Fl. Two grandchildren; Meghan and Ethan Ellzey. Funeral services will be held at Malone First Baptist Church, Monday, August 30, 2010 at 11 am (CST). Interment to follow at Friendship Church Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
