Donna Elmore, 70, of Tallahassee, Florida, died, Sunday, January 9, 2022 at the Big Bend Hospice House.
She was born April 4, 1951 in Ft. Benning, Georgia to Myron Elmore and Hazel Elmore Mozley. In 1968, in her senior year of high school, she was crowned Marianna’s Homecoming Queen. After graduating high school, she traveled across the U.S. from Hawaii to the Panama Canal. In 1983 she graduated Troy State University Magna Cum Laude in Accounting. She then proceeded to work for companies like Bendix, Tracor, CMSI, and Marquis Software Development.
No matter what profession Donna was in, she was always a loving mom, sister, daughter and gran. She always loved sewing, cooking for her family, spending time working on her home's landscaping and spending time with her three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Myron West Elmore. She is survived by her daughter, Daphne Strickland Fuller; grandchildren, Lauren Fuller, David Fuller and Timothy Fuller; siblings, Glenn Elmore (DJ), Myra Carlson (Mark); nieces, Sarah Beth Stoll (Ryan), Rebecca Carlson; and mother, Hazel Mozley.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, January 13, 2022 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Rev. Roland Rabon officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
