Donald Ray Smith, 58, of Cypress, died Monday, May 14, 2007, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his father, Alexander "Bill" Smith, brothers, W.A. Smith and Frankie Joe Smith. Survivors include his wife JoAnn Hancock Smith; one daughter, Mellissa JoAnn Smith Church and husband, Keith of Marianna; one son, Alexander Smith and fiance' Ashley Bedwell of Lexington, Tn.; grandchildren, Forrest, Tiffany and Tyler; his mother, Mildred Smith of Cottonwood, Al.; brothers, Billy Jay Smith of Cottonwood, Al, John Smith and wife, Joyce of Malone, Winston Smith and wife, Diane of Campbellton; sisters, Edna Grice and husband, Billy Wayne of Malone, Eva Mullins and husband Brian of Dothan, Al., Shirley Greenwood and husband, Gene of Campbellton; numerous nieces and nephews; sisters in law, Mary Smith of Marianna, Barbara Hussey of Panama City, Ilah Jackson. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2007 at Cypress Community Church with Revs. Jerry Mears & Dennis Creamer officiating. Burial will follow in Madrid, Alabama City Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
