Donald G. Lanier

Donald G. Lanier, 64, of Marianna died Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Signature Healthcare at the Courtyard. Born in Dothan, Alabama, Mr. Lanier was a life long resident of Jackson County and was a retired farmer. He was known as an avid fisherman, hunter and craftsman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur G. and Flossie Parmer Lanier; one brother, Davol Lanier; one sister, Joyce McArthur. Survivors include his brother, Dewayne Lanier and wife Marie of Perry, Fl; his nieces and nephews that were like his children. Funeral services will be at 11 am Monday, August 3, 2015 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 10 am until funeral time Monday, August 3, 2015 at Maddox Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the March of Dimes.
