A native of Jackson County, Mr. Jensen was a Marine Corp. veteran and was a educator for 21 years including 17 years with the Houston County School System. He was an avid race car fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur M. and Norma Stephenson Jensen. Survivors include his wife, Linda C. Jensen of Greenwood; daughter, Dawn Alday and husband, Kevin of Marianna; son, Michael Burns and wife, Tamra; daughter, Brooke Storey and husband, Perry all of Cottondale; two sisters, Carolyn Olive of Decatur, AL and Linda Fears of Tallahassee; two aunts, Fay Chandler and Shirley Tompkins both of Lovedale; ten grandchildren; special friends, Wesley and Kathryn Nichols, Harold Davis family, Robin Snellgrove and children. Funeral service will be at 11 am Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Greenwood Baptist Church with Revs. Loran Mercer & Eric Durham officiating, interment will follow in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 10 am until funeral time, Thursday, April 9, at the church.
