Donald J. "Don" Carpenter

Donald J. "Don" Carpenter, 65, of Marianna died Saturday, September -12, 2009 at Southeast Alabama Regional Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama. Mr. Carpenter had resided in Marianna for the past 38 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and sister-in-law Rayford and Jerry Rowland; one sister, Carolyn Hubbard. Survivors include his wife, Dot Carpenter, one son, Rodney Carpenter, one daughter, Rhonda Carpenter (Pebbles) Smith and one son-in-law Gary Smith; two granddaughters, Megan Carpenter and Lauren Smith all of Marianna; two brothers, Roy Roland and wife Fay of Lee County, GA., Bobby Rowland and wife June of Tifton, GA.; one sister, Betty Haynes and husband Coleman of Baxley, GA.; one brother-in-law, Mike Hubbard of Cordele, GA. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at Maddox Chapel. Memorial graveside services will be held at a later date at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. "
