Dianne Bell Wilson, age 50, of Youngstown, FL, passed to her Eternal Home on December 23, 2022, at Shands Hospital following a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband, Lawson Michael (Mike) Wilson; children: Derrick Wilson, Gigi (John) Scola, Joey (Cameron) Wilson; grandchildren: Johnny, Mickey, Libby, Lawson, and Levi; mother-in-law, Grace Wilson; parents, Billy and Elizabeth Bell.
Celebration of life services will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at First United Methodist Church, Marianna, FL with Rev. Dr. Nathan Attwood officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 PM in the Wesley Center at First United Methodist Church.
After graduating from Marianna High School, Dianne attended Gulf Coast Junior College on a softball scholarship. Later, she went to Washington Holmes Technical Center for her LPN license and worked in nursing homes. Her final degree achieved was in education which allowed her to teach middle school science, FFA, and PE in Jackson and Bay counties.
Dianne will be remembered as a woman with a big smile who enjoyed the friends she had made at Marianna First Methodist Church, Marianna schools, and each of the places she worked in her lifetime. She is also known as a softball player, a deer hunter, a fisherwoman, a lover of her “fur babies,” and maker of great lasagna and chicken noodle soup!
