James Sikes Funeral HomeMaddox ChapelDelores J. Horne, 80, of Sneads, died Friday, March 21, 2014, at Signature Healthcare at the Courtyard. She was born on August 21, 1933, to the late Murray and Pearl Jackson. Mrs. Horne was a lifelong resident of Jackson County, a member of the First Baptist Church of Sneads, and a member of WMU.
Mrs. Horne is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Horne; mother, Pearl Daniels Jackson; and brother, Murray Junior Jackson.
Mrs. Horne is survived by one daughter, Teresa Lynn McDaniel and husband, Craig, of Sneads; three brothers, Garey Jackson and wife, Julie, of Marianna, Bobby Jackson and wife, Diane, of Cypress, and Billy Jackson and wife, Helen, of Alford; six sisters, Annette Roberts of Oklahoma City, OK, Sara Medlock of Apex, NC, Daisy Barrentine of Marianna, Marge Nolin and husband, Hank, of Marianna, Grace Bennett of Pensacola, and Pat Edwards and husband, Bill, of Clermont; two grandchildren, Brittany Lynn McDaniel and Timothy Craig McDaniel, both of Sneads; and many nieces, nephews, and loving aunts and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, March 24, 2014, at James Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Revs. Matt Basford and Robert Johns officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, March 23, 2014, at James Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
