Born in Donalsonville, GA, Mr. Torbett was a former resident of Marianna where he worked for Torbett Dairy until 2006, having then moved to Blakely where he continued to farm. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Blakely. Darren was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lou Torbett; a brother, Homer Torbett; paternal grandparents, Eugene & Naomi Torbett; maternal grandparents, Buzz and Barbara Kehner. Darren is survived by his father, Lee Roy Torbett, of Blakely, GA., one brother, Jeremy Torbett and wife, Jenny, of Marianna; one sister, Gina Arnett and husband, Timmy, of Marianna; two nieces, Julee Arnett & Malaina Torbett; one nephew, Dylan Arnett. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 10 o'clock in the morning at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel with Rev. George Atherholt officiating. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
