Darrel Lovern Williams Jr. (Enjoin) , born January 28, 1965 in Gainesville Fl. Darrel was a lifelong resident of Alford, Fl. Darrel went home to be with the Lord February 23,2021 in Tallahassee Fl., he was 56.
Darrel graduated Cottondale High School 1983, he continued his education at Chipola Junior College and The Baptist College of Florida in Graceville, Fl. He was a member of the Round Lake Baptist Church where he previously served as Minister of music as well as Sunday school teacher. Darrel was employed by the State of Florida Department of Corrections at the Holmes Correctional Institute in Bonifay, Fl., for many years.
Darrel enjoyed singing and playing the harmonica. He was an avid boxing and basketball fan. One of his joys in life was passing on his love of music to his daughters and more recently his grandson Killian. Darrel’s greatest joy was to share the Word of God, his faith and love in Christ Jesus with friend and stranger.
Darrel’s Surviving family members include: daughters, Nicole Williams (Fiancé Scotty Williams) of Round Lake Fl. Danae’ Williams (Fiancé Damichael Faulk) of Panama City, Fl. other children, Ryan Thomas (wife Julia) of Marianna, Fl., Kyle Thomas of Marianna, Fl., Ashley Thomas of Louisa,Virginia; grandsons, Waylon and Killian Williams; mother, Janice Young Blackburn of Alford; other mother, Judy Carter Williams of Alford; brothers, Mike Gay (wife Linda) of New Braunfels, Tx., Will Gay (Willy) of Alford, Fl.; sisters, Stephanie Stephens (husband Eddie) of Knoxville, Tn., Kelly Christmas (husband Josh) of Round Lake, Fl.; many nieces, nephews. Aunts, uncles, cousins, coworkers and friends.
Darrel is preceded in death by his father, Darrel L. Williams Sr. and fathers, Ben Blackburn and Millard Gay; paternal grandparents, R.L. Williams and Nellie Williams; maternal grandparents, Earsel Young and Ethel Young.
The family will be accepting visitors February 27, 2021 at 1:00pmCST, at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2:00pmCST with Willie Gay officiating. Interment will follow in the Williams Family Cemetery with James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
