Danny Jack McAlpin, 74 of Dellwood, died Monday, September 5, 2022 at his residence.
He was born September 9, 1947 to LB and Ella McAlpin. He was a lifelong resident of Jackson County Florida. He worked for several years as a truck driver. He loved fishing and he loved his family, especially his granddaughter.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Junior McAlpin, Gene McAlpin, Dianne O'Bryan, Sherall McAlpin; and companion and partner, Janice Hall.
He is survived by his granddaughter, Alanna Smith of Cottondale, Florida; siblings, Eloise Ablia of Marianna, Harold McAlpin (Ellen) of Marianna, Anita McLendon (Roger) of Altha, Larry McAlpin of Greenwood, Wayne McAlpin of Marianna, Rickie McAlpin (Anna) of Marianna, and Darrell McAlpin of Greenwood.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, September 8th, at James & Sikes Funeral Home with Revs. Riley and Erlene Adams officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Mill Springs Baptist Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Homes Maddox Chapel directing.
