FUNERAL RESCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY- SAME TIMES.
Danny R. Danford, 74, of Grand Ridge, Florida passed away at Southeast Alabama Medical Center on January 1, 2024, after a short illness.
Danny was the father of five children and was an active member of Grand Ridge Baptist Church. He was also an active member of Harmony Lodge, serving in many roles for 31 years. Danny was a barber by trade for 55 years and well known by many in the Jackson County area as the “hair doctor”. He also was employed by Jackson County School Board for many years as a bus driver serving Grand Ridge, Sneads, and Marianna schools.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Randall Danford and Eizabeth Rinkel; brother, Randy Danford, sister, Barbara Rinkel, and granddaughter, Alisa Humphrey.
Danny is survived by his children: Lisa McDonald (Tim); Gerald Danford (Stormy); Renee Roark; Randy Danford (Dee Dee), Leigh Helms (Jason); grandchildren: Codey Smith, Kayla Allen (Forrest), Hailey McDonald (Lane), Alyssa McDonald, Morgan Pierro (Steven), Emily Edwards, Lance Harmon, Leigh Chambers (Justin), DeAnne Berry (Felix), Ryne Danford, Mac Danford (Ayleen), Tyler Helms (Abby), Nicholas Helms (Kierra); great-grandchildren: Emily Pierro, Alli-Anne Cheverez, Harper Chambers, Hurston Chambers, Greyson Helms, and Oliver Helms.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Grand Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Caron Harn officiating. Interment will follow in Blackwood Church Cemetery, 952 Henry County 44, Headland, Alabama with James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service, Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Grand Ridge Baptist Church.
