Cynthia "Cindy" Robinson Fitch

Cynthia "Cindy" Robinson Fitch, 44, of Daleville, AL formerly of Grand Ridge, journeyed from this world to her permanent home in Heaven on Tuesday, December 10, 2013. She was greeted with loving arms by those who had journeyed before her. She was a once in a lifetime person that made everyone feel welcome, had a joy for family, life and Florida State football that cannot be rivaled. Her accomplishments were many, but the greatest of all was her unbreakable spirit and unconditional love for her family. For one's life is like a ship upon the ocean. The ocean is unforgiving and harsh, but we battle through each day prevailing until our end. In the end, though we cannot be seen or heard, we are still present. Our trials and tribulations are lessons for those we leave behind. For we are all ships on the unforgiving sea of life and she will be a beacon for hope and love for those she cared for. Cindy was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Check and Wilda Abney; maternal grandparents, Noah F. and Edith Richardson; paternal grandmother, Effie Robinson and father-in-law, Jim Fitch. She leaves behind her husband, Robert Fitch; two daughters, Alaina Jackson Phillips and her husband Jason, Ashley Toole and Fiance' Morrell Pope; two sons, Tyler Fitch and Shawn Morrell; three grandchildren, Craig, Emma and Noah; her parents, Clinton and Ann Robinson, James and Linda Abney; mother-in-law, Sue Fitch; two sisters, Angie Stephens and husband Todd, Tina Gruver and husband David; two brothers, Kevin Robinson and Miranda Lee, James Abney, Jr. and wife Sandy; a host of other dear family members and her dog, Chloe. Funeral services will be 2 pm Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Sneads First Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Basford officiating. Interment will follow in Dykes Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday, December 16, 2013 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
