Curtis Elvin Hamilton, 86, of Greenwood, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024, at his residence.
He was born March 2, 1938, in Hodgesville, AL to William and Nancy Hamilton. He served in the US Air Force for 18 years. During that time he served multiple tours, including Vietnam and Korea. He always enjoyed woodworking, fishing and gardening. Curtis was outside as often as he could be. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Curtis was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Hazel Hamilton; parents; and son, Leonard Lunsford.
He is survived by his children, Deborah Willis, of Panama City, Doug (Sherri) Lunsford, of Greenwood, Herbert (Bertha) Lunsford, of Greenwood, Andrew (Tammy) Lunsford, of Cottondale, Kim (Jason) Etheridge, of Greenwood, Bill (Sandra) Hamilton, of Radcliff, KY, Leasa (Chris) Warrings, of Smartsville, CA; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ronald Hamilton of Wooster, OH.
Funeral service will be 2 PM Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
